G’Day. Poetry writing and reading has been a life interest for me. I perform regularly at community and family events, festivals, concerts and poetry competitions. I enjoy reciting both traditional poets, such as Banyo Paterson and Henry Lawson, as well as poems written by our very talented modern day poets. My awards include QLD Bush Poetry 2021 competition - Winner Novice Poet Section and 4th place Classical Section; Logan Muddy River Bush Poetry Competition 2020 - 3rd place in Novice Section and 3rd place Classical Poem Section. My poems have been published in the Henry Lawson centenary anthology ‘Beyond Lawson’ in 2022 and poetry websites.

I am very happy to recite at your event in the Brisbane region, and for community organisations on a pro bono basis. I am a ‘True Blue’ Aussie, born in Pinjarra WA. I spent my youth and early working years in the mid North of South Australia near the Flinders Ranges. I now live in Brisbane with my wife, along with children and grandchildren.

I am a proud Australian, and I use every opportunity to promote this great country through poetry and other means. This pride extends to the promotion of our floral emblem, the Golden Wattle. I am a member of the Wattle Day Association of Australia committee, which promotes the celebration of our floral emblem on the proclaimed National Wattle Day, being 1 September each year.

I am a member of the Australian Bush Poets Association (ABPA).

Poets/Writers Work

I regard myself as an ‘apprentice’ poem writer. Having written several poems, I am gaining confidence in my skills and creativity.
